About our house

The house was built in the early 70's and is NOT a quaint old French farmhouse. It has six bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the lounge, and is surrounded by a large garden with giant pine trees. There are two floors with a small kitchen upstairs so it's ideal for two familes who want to share, or if the kids are old enough to fend for themselves. Two bathrooms (with baths & attached showers), a large verandah at the front where we spend most of our life in the summer evenings and mornings. Towels and bedlinen are provided, and there is plenty of crockery and glasses. The kitchen has a new double door American fridge freezer and then a second fridge just for drinks. A veteran but trusty dishwasher does a brilliant job. The house also has a large fire in the sitting room and full gas fired central heating for the 'off' season; there is a hifi with iPod connector, TV, DVD player (with a big stock of DVD's), Playstation and wi-fi.

Bedrooms: 2 doubles, 2 twins, one twin bunk bed and a mobile folding bed. The configuration is flexible though as twins can be used as doubles.

Upstairs is reached via either the spiral staircase, or the level stairs in the garage (don't ask why). There is a small upstairs kitchen which we don't use, but it has a hob and cooker. The garage is built into the house and has a new washing machine, boiler and central heating system.

Note: smoking is restricted to the outside verandahs only and all cigarettes must be disposed of carefully.
